(updated) Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome | luxury hotel in Paris, France

Park Hyatt Paris Review

The Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome is my favorite hotel in the city, but I will readily admit that I can’t compare it to much else! We’ve stayed at the Park Hyatt Paris six times before, and the three other hotels we’ve stayed in over the years were just okay in comparison.

Anyway - we have so many fun and happy memories here (including our honeymoon!) that I have to temper my bias when writing about it. One of my favorite things: it is super private and discreet, like a luxury speakeasy hotel.

NOTE: I am so bummed but somewhere in between posting my instagram story about the PH Paris (@travelhappier) and importing/exporting from VSCO, I somehow deleted nearly all the photos I took of the Park Hyatt Paris on this last trip. Luckily I was able to download these images from my Unfold app, but that’s why they look like instagram stories, wah. Luckily, I have six years of photos to share — and sometimes I even remembered to take photos of the room, lol!

More photos of the hotel through the years

While the Park Hyatt’s signature Blaise Mautin scent and toiletries have changed since our first stay, other things have remained the same: bronze sculptures adorning the walls; mahogany furniture with gold accents; bottles of Evian water left on the nightstands next to the bed at turndown service; Nespresso and Mariage Frères tea at the ready; and crisp sheets and fluffy towels. Always. It’s just lovely.

All their bathrooms have a glass shower enclosure with heated mirror and counter inside the shower (brilliant!) and they all also have a soaking tub and separate water closet (some have Toto washlets and others do not, depending on room level).

The hotel is located just a short walk from the Louvre, the Paris Opera House, the classic department stores Printemps and Galeries Lafayette; and Place Vendome, where Louis Vuitton just opened a massive and gorgeous flagship store (seriously, forget the Champs-Elysses!)

Also: the breakfast is phenomenal and one of its restaurants, Pur, has a Michelin star.

Traveling with Children

Review of Luxury Hotel Park Hyatt Paris by Marissa | travelhappy

You cannot book a Park Queen or Park Twin if you’re a couple traveling with children — the maximum occupancy in the room is two, no matter the age of your kid (or kids). If there are more than 3 of you, you’ll need to get the next largest room (a Deluxe).

Our room was ready with a travel crib, bottle warmer, changing pad setup, child’s bathtub in the tub; and a mini potty next to the Toto toilet. So great!

Highchairs are available for dining (a rarity in France) and the Jardin des Tuileries and its carousel and playground are a short walk away. (Yay!)
