The Conrad Dublin, a Luxury Hilton Hotel Dublin, Ireland
We enjoyed a short two-night stay at the Conrad Dublin to start our 5-year anniversary celebratory vacation and loved our brief time there. The Conrad Dublin has just been refurbished and they did a beautiful job, truly. I loved the blue/green/aqua theme they had running throughout the hotel - so soothing, it reminded me of the Park Hyatt in Tokyo, but warmer.

Room Photos: King Premier Room
We booked a King Deluxe room but were happy to be given an upgrade to a larger King Premier room with a view of the National Concert Hall. At 366 square feet, it was big enough that it felt spacious for the three of us. They sent us a lovely bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary (yay!), chocolates, and handwritten welcome notes - so nice.
I loved the velvet accents and the gorgeous herringbone rugs and wooden floors. Not sure if you can really see them here but they seriously made me wonder how much it would cost to redo all our floors in herringbone wood.
An empty fridge (yay!) and Nespresso machine -- my favorite.
The room didn't have a dresser for unpacking our clothes, but it was fine for our short trip. We ended up unpacking onto these shelves (easy with packing cubes!)
Nice sized bathroom with tub (so much easier for a baby), but no separate water closet.
Kid Stuff: Special Treats for Your Minis
Since becoming parents ourselves we are constantly aware of how "kid-friendly" a hotel is, and we were so impressed with the Conrad Dublin's thoughtful touches for the baby.
We entered the room to find a pack-n-play already set up, complete with a baby-sized hooded towel and mini robe.
Jules also loved her little stuffed bear, which is a Conrad theme in hotels around the world (we have one from Hong Kong, too). The Conrad's luxury sales manager, Esmee van der Voort, also sent Jules a precious little sheep (hand-knit and available in Eirlooms the gift shop downstairs).
The best surprise for our daughter was finding this hamper of toys next to her crib. The tag outside says "Dear Junior Guest, we hope you enjoy the use of this activity hamper during your stay!" Such a nice touch for travelers with children!
Hotel Restaurants
The Conrad Dublin has two restaurants to choose from - Lemuel's Lounge Bar and the Coburg ("all day brasserie dining”). The Coburg has a delicious buffet breakfast in the morning (photos below) and we also stopped in one evening for a few pints of Guinness and one of the best onion soups I have ever had. Yay for good hotel food!

Location of the Conrad Dublin
The Conrad Dublin is located two short blocks from St. Stephen's Green, the gorgeous park and garden in the heart of Dublin.
On previous trips to Dublin we've stayed nearer to the pubs in the Temple Bar area (once at the Raddison Blu Royal Dublin and another time at the Morrison, a Doubletree hotel across the River Liffey), so the Conrad was a little walk from that touristy but fun area.
Dublin is a super walkable city that feels very safe, even late at night. The walk from the Temple Bar to the Conrad takes about 20 minutes, or a cab can get you to and from the area in 10.
